I don't think Robles is great but he's not crap mate,for me he needs to command his 6 yard box more but I would give him a go next season as first choice.

I don't like the fact that he punches the ball so frequently as opposed to catching it. It's something a lot of American keepers do that annoys me. I think he's made some great saves and done well, I just don't think he's done well enough to be #1. I say it's crap because we need a better keeper. I think Robles is a strong #2 and I would feel confident with him in that role, just not week in and week out.

just me who thinks howard shot stopping was class and he made some class saves, bit dodgy near the end, but howard made the saves you wouldnt expect him to make robles doesnt do that has to improve to be as good as howard was. Anyone who forgets howards last season will remember how good a goalkeeper he has been for us

No doubt he has been a good keeper for us...just that he is in decline and time to go. Will always remember his peno saves against United in the semi.

Not unpopular with me, I couldn't care less if they think Martinez is the greatest manager in the world provided they give of their best for Everton. They are entitled to their opinion every bit as much as I am. Hopefully theirs is not the opinion that will prevail.

At least he moves off his line he has caught more balls than Timmy in one game than Timmy did in 18 months, he controls his six yard box 100 percent better he is young, and a lot to prove as for sense of humour sorry I do not get out much, sorry if I misunderstood your banter a genuine mistake!
Look if we have the funds then yes let's gamble on paying millions for a top keeper if not let's see if Robles can improve by buying a cheaper option for competition?

I was really skeptical of Robles but he's proved me wrong I think. I don't think Robles is crap and he made important saves in both of the last two matches. We could have lost to liverpool by about 7 honestly.

He's not as great at organizing a defense and it certainly shows, but that should come with time.

I suspect a lot of what we're seeing in this thread is just the fact that modern football fan seems incapable of speaking in anything but hyperbole, and everyone is either brilliant or sh1te.

He has been cruelly exposed by an incompetent defensive unit in recent games to be fair to the lad

His all round goalkeeping has been a vast improvement on Howard but I do agree this punching thing is infuriating however this seems to be the norm with goalkeepers of the modern game
