Must be a bit disheartening for him when he knows he'll only play in League cup games and even if he he performs outstandingly he will be dropped again for the Prem no matter what type of form Howard is in.

I love Joel. I love how enthusiastic he is during the half time warm ups. I hope he goes somewhere in January and he'll do fine away from a manager who hasn't got the balls to upset an influential character.

Howard, coleman, stones, jagielka, barry, baines, mccarthy and lukaku all seem to be undropable in the games that really matter for martinez

I wouldn't disagree, it must have been for them too, although I think Joel is a better keeper than most second string ones we've had and has ambitions of becoming our first team keeper one day, unlike most of the others who have been content to be substitute goalie or see out the latter stages of their career with us from the bench.

Robles is NOT the answer, but dropping Howard probably wouldn't kill the team.

The goals that Robles conceded against Barnsley, Leeds (friendly but they were really terrible) or Krasnodar makes you wonder if the team would benefit of changing Howard to Joel. It's like switching simon davies to mcgeady. We just need a new good goalie
