Be careful worshiping false idols. He will have the good odd game sure but can he do that for a whole season? Hopefully he will have the rest of this season to prove he can or not and then we will know in the summer if we need a GK as a priority.

Good luck to him but everything in the past points to being prone to blunders.

I am warming to him. Looking more assured with each passing game. I mentioned in another thread that he was such an asset today coming to collect crosses. Important against a team like palace. That was a great save from the Dann header today.

For now he seems deserving of being no 1. But if he makes a couple of mistakes we'll be bashing him saying he isn't good enough.

We don't have anything to play for so lets keep him as our no 1 till end of the season. If he shows consistency and improvement then we should stick with him. I personally feel he along with Funes Mori seem to have taken Everton to heart. Joel always keeps a smile on his face and he seems mentally strong. Still 26 for a GK and can improve on his positioning a bit.
