He does get a bit too much stick. Seems a good sort and he has the right attitude. Rarely let's us down. And so far this season he's kept 4 clean sheets in only 5 league starts. For comparison Stek has kept 3 in 16.

I hope he can step up and be a good number 1 as I really like him. He has the tools and he definitely gets Everton. Seems a nice lad too.

But if not I do hope he sticks around as our number 2. It's nice to have a keeper who can come in on short notice, often after not playing in months, and put in consistently solid performances.

It's a shame really he didn't come in for Howard sooner as he might be further on now with the extra experience.
