Robles was good today. I'm warming to him, and I come from the "give him a go and see how he gets on" camp rather than the "he's ace" camp.

A mod off topic my my lol Robles is doing the basics very well needs a run in the team now He could save us millions in the long run and if Timmy had have been dropped earlier imo we would be in the top 4 now!
missing my mucker dithering doug would have loved it tonight {Kevin Keegan impersonation} if he was on here tonight just loved it my old mucker adversary!

He has done well, but Jagielka and Funes Mori are forming a good partnership as well. Leicester are proof of what you can do with a settled back 4 of "proper" defenders.

the proper defender never followed that Robles pen save up on the Robles palm away where were they - Jags is looking old now dying his hair solid , but slow on the turn now !
How did the defenders help Robles to saver that pen fire away?

Not saying that, it was a cracking pen save, I was saying generally the back 4 are settling into a unit.

Even that save with 5 minutes to go Howard would have spilled it and the last few minutes would have been a panic. With Robles in goal it simply doesn't happen. Being rewarded now for sticking it out when many would have gone. I really hope he can be our number 1 for a long time.

He earned the clean sheet today. Saved the pen, and his positioning was spot on throughout. The only time he looked beaten was when that free kick went wide after being deflected by Rom's Big Rear. But it went wide so it's fine.
