Joel Robles

Him having a great game implies Norwich will have a bag of chances.

I'm hoping he has a quiet game with eff all to do.
Norwich will not come to sit behind the ball they attack in Prem games hence the goals against - Robles will be busy I just wished him good luck as for him keeping his place if he has a decent game etc - I doubt it as he kept three clean sheets last year and was dumped by RM clearly stating TIm was his no 1 - When Tim returned his first home game V the lowly Leicester he had a complete mare yet kept his place?

Least give the lad a run of games to see how he does. De Gea looked dodgy as anything when he first arrived. He's obviously nowhere near that level but you can only see with players what they're capable of if you give them a run of games.

If he really is at too poor a level to replace Howard in a league game then he shouldn't be starting this cup game either.

If he can't even challenge Howard then you've got to ask why one or both keepers weren't replaced in the summer. Crazy management that both are not good enough but are still here.

To be honest Joey, I think he just wants Robles to concentrate on tonight's game. And it is his management style never
to criticize players but rather praise them to the skies even if they are crap which Howard certainly is. In MartinezLand, all
our players are 'phenomenal.' And he has felt the need to come out and publicly support Howard. My bet is that if Robles plays well tonight he starts saturday.

I repeat what Lord Fergie said; the most important thing a manager can give a player is confidence.

Judging from this interview Robles will be dropped again after the cup game no matter how he performs

Thought Martinez always said that we need a high level of competition in the squad. In reality only 3 places are open to competition. Howard, Coleman, Stones, Jags, Baines, Barry, McCarthy and Lukaku will play regardless of form in every league game that they are even half fit for. When Cleverley returns one of those free spots will most likely go as well.

If he saved five pens he would not start on Saturday!
For me he is having to come in under pressure after his Manager unfairly dropping him last season if he has a mare of a game - no doubts the Few TH fans on here will be on here gloating alls we need is a win end of!

Actions speak louder than words. No problem with RM not hanging Tim out to dry publicly but he needs to back it up now by dropping him.

That article disgust me RM needs to go to spec savers!

“But when you concede, you want the whole team to see what could have been done better to make it harder for the opposition.

“In both instances at the weekend, we all could have done better than allowing Tim to be in that position in the six yard box.

“Tim’s standards are very high and his experience is there for all to see but when you concede a goal we all need to take responsibility.

“Joel has been playing in the cup and doing really, really well and that is going to be the case on Tuesday.”

That's worrying. Still making excuses for Howard's basic errors, like he was in February when he arbitrarily restored him to the first team for no reason. I honestly think he's intimidated by Howard's personality in the dressing room. That's really, really worrying
