Agree if that's the choice. However I believe we will be looking to get a top keeper, creative mid and striker. I can guess hart and mata but not the striker.

Unless we're gonna pay £20+million to make him one of the most expensive keepers in world football, and pay £100k a week (while Rom's contract is still up in the air)...then yeah.

Fairly interesting read. From what I see, Hart's abilities are:

Percentage Shot Stopper - Good
Safe Shot Stopper - Average
Errors/90 - Average
Passer - Average
Aggression on Crosses - Very High
Success when coming for Crosses - Slightly Below Average

My impression is that Hart is better than what we have (Stekelenburg's shot stopping was among the lowest on the chart) but he's not elite by any means. As such, I would have to know how much we had to pay before I could determine whether it would be a good deal for us. Of the other options we've been associated with this summer, Butland would be the absolute best choice (but I don't think we could get him). Begovic seems the next best option. According to the stats, Krul was very error prone so I wouldn't want him.

Totally agree with this, we need a household name to come. If we get a name like Hart other big name players will sit up and start to take notice and then hopefully we can get a snowball effect from it.

There are arguments to whether Hart is the player we want, but there is no doubting he has a standing in the game and is respected by his peers.

My view is Hart is better than what we have and if he's available and wants to come here, it is a no brainer for the reasons above.
