Biden has much better numbers with Independents and Republicans than Hillary did and he's far less polarizing than Cheeto. The numbers with Independents is a huge deal in this election.

I find it so weird how Joe Biden and Kamala Harris are SOMEHOW labelled "radical left". That's about as centrist a ticket as you can possibly get in the US. By any metrics of a first world country they are mostly a conservative ticket. Sanders was barely left of center in any normal country ffs..

Yet he will still manage to convince his base they are. Heck there are a few on here who believe that also. People you would think have more intelligence.

So, by your logic, he's correctly predicting that Harris, a career moderate, and Joe Biden, pretty much the epitome of moderates, are taking a DRASTIC left turn in to territory they've never even dipped their toe in to? Sorry, not having that.

You might not be, and that's part of the problem. Trump didn't just appear ex nihil in 2015-16; and if four years on the best the Democratic Party can come up with for a nominee is Joe Biden would suggest that the party does not - and never did - see itself as a major contributing factor in the grotesque lurch to the Right. This lack of introspection, self-appraisal and corrective strategy has left them only having an 8 point lead over one of the nastiest , least successful leaders to have ever run a Western country running into the Election.

His attacks on Clinton worked. That's how he won. Sleepy Joe Biden just doesnt have the same ring to it.

His attacks on Clinton didn't really work. It was Clinton who handicapped herself by not running with any ideas for working class people in key swing states. She lost some normally blue "gimme states" because she showed up at campaign rallies and said things like "I'm not Trump" and when she did propose ideas, they rang empty because she (despite her qualifications, credentials, and smarts) is a charismatic-less individual who can't muster any enthusiasm. She is up there with Dukakis and Kerry for most uninspiring people.
