General takeaway I'm reading/watching today is Biden was (generally) spry and nailed the tone and message that needed to happen last night. And that the message was so clear and unassailable, especially on things like the economy and his failed border bill b/c of the House, that Republicans looked stupid. And looked obviously uncomfortable.

And that the rebuttal was an absolute clown show.

yup, I think so.
I had a fear that he wasn't up to the job. Last night showed that he was.
Would I like a younger candidate, sure. Do I have any reservations about voting for Biden, apart from some political stuff, no.
He did very well.

And the rebuttal, that was quite something, I thought it was a gag, some sort of send up for a while.
Nope, it was real.
And when you think that she worked on the bi partizan border bill, it makes less sense.
I think she was being held captive by Wesley.
I was watching for morse blinking.

That's that cleared up then. Multiple locations(six, I think) where Biden kept classified material he was illegally holding onto. He was holding them for something like six years(his illegal Senate papers even longer). The DoJ were all too eager to prosecute Trump during the Biden Presidency; all too hesitant to prosecute Biden during the Trump Presidency. Trump at least had some cover by his claim he could declassify documents as President. Biden had no such cover.

Doesn't matter what you tell DERP STATE as anything that makes Biden look like far lesser culpable will just be chalked-up to Deep State collusion and liberal media. Facts don't matter because once phrases like "deep state" are trotted-out or comparisons are made between Trump and Emmett Till then there is really no point in engaging.

Think the main difference is that when Biden found docs or was instructed to return them, he cooperated and returned them.

When Trump was instructed to return them, he started calling his staff in Mar a Lago to move them around to hide them from his attorney, and suggested that they be destroyed.

Pretty spot on. But in general I’m so tired that the defense from both sides for every action is “Yeah but look at how bad the other guy is.” It’s like we’re in this stupid cycle of trying to be the least bad. Why can’t right be right and wrong be wrong? Biden should be judged on his actions. Trump should be judged on his actions. Both should face consequences commensurate with their individual transgressions. Organizations get fined or worse for having data risks that are far less serious than “Top Secret” docs lying around.
