President Biden’s failure to acknowledge his seventh grandchild — who was born out of wedlock — was questioned at a White House press briefing Tuesday, a day after first son Hunter Biden appeared in court trying to reduce his child support payments to 4-year-old Navy Joan Roberts.
“I wanted to ask about the trial going on in Arkansas with Hunter Biden and the child support,” the Daily Mail’s Emily Goodin said.
“Are the president and first lady monitoring that and how come they haven’t acknowledged the seventh grandchild?”
White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre quickly shut down the line of questioning, saying: “I’m not gonna speak to that from here.”
Veteran journalist James Rosen of Newsmax tried to follow up by shouting, “Why not?” but Jean-Pierre ignored the question and called on a different reporter.
Biden, 80, has consistently snubbed his granddaughter, who turns five on Nov. 29, while doting on his other grandchildren — including Beau, Hunter’s 3-year-old son by second wife Melissa Cohen.
The president’s six other grandchildren were born within wedlock and each year their names are written on Christmas stockings displayed on a White House mantle — with Roberts omitted from the lineup.
Last week, Joe Biden told a youngster on the White House lawn for a “take your child to work day” event that he has just six grandchildren.
“I have six grandchildren. And I’m crazy about them. And I speak to them every single day. Not a joke,” the president said.
“Matter of fact, I just got finished going through the calls. And only one of them answered the phone.
“But at least I got to leave a message.”
Biden gave brief biographies of his six other grandchildren, then told his elementary school-aged audience, “They’re crazy about me because I pay so much attention to them.”
Navy Roberts, by contrast, reportedly has received very little love from her paternal relatives since Hunter Biden acknowledged her as his own in response to a paternity suit from former stripper Lunden Roberts, now 32.
The first son initially agreed to pay $20,000 per month in child support, but he is now seeking to reduce the amount — potentially opening his family to an airing of their murky international business dealings and art sales.
Hunter Biden is also fighting Roberts’ effort to change their daughter’s surname to Biden, arguing in a January court filing that it would deny her a “peaceful existence.”
Roberts argues it the name change could be a boon for the toddler because the Biden family is “now synonymous with being well educated, successful, financially acute and politically powerful.”
It’s unclear why President Biden hasn’t acknowledged or met Navy Roberts, though his son also reportedly has never met her.

In a lengthy opinion piece, the paper’s editorial board confronted the issue of whether the US president should seek a second term next year, when he will be approaching his 82nd birthday.
“In short, Mr Biden’s age is not inevitably the decisive issue, but it is a real one, and he will have to address it, forthrightly, whether the choice in 2024 is between him and Mr Trump or another Republican,” wrote the newspaper.
“The public has a right to know details about his health, physical and mental, and about what he is doing to maintain it.”
The piece from the traditionally supportive paper will be a blow for Mr Biden, but reflects the views of a large swathe of voters - including Democrats.
Earlier this month, an ABC/Washington Post poll revealed that 68 per cent of Americans believed Mr Biden was too old for another term.
Alarmingly for the Democrats, only 44 per cent thought Mr Trump, who is four years younger than Mr Biden, was too old to return to the White House.
Even though Mr Trump also remains unpopular with voters, the majority of respondents said he far surpassed Mr Biden in terms of mental acuity and physical health.
Mr Biden’s sporadic gaffes – such as confusing the Black and Tans with the All-Blacks rugby team during his recent visit to Ireland – have only served to reinforce doubts over a second term.

Beau Bidens cancer can pretty much be directly linked to burn pits in Iraq.Someone put this poor bloke out to pasture ...
President Biden told US forces stationed in Japan that his son Beau perished in the Iraq War, a video obtained exclusively by The Post reveals — after the president stoked questions about his own mental acuity by making the same incorrect claim at least twice last year.
“My son was a major in the US Army. We lost him in Iraq,” the 80-year-old president said during an informal visit with troops at Marine Corps Air Station Iwakuni on Thursday.
The traveling press corps, which has faced repeated access issues while covering the nation’s oldest-ever president, was kept far enough away that the remarks were inaudible.
The White House press office did not put out an official transcript, almost allowing the error to escape public notice.
Biden said in October of last year that Beau “lost his life in Iraq” and claimed the following month that Iraq was “where my son died.”
In fact, the president’s son died of brain cancer in 2015 at the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, Md.
Such glaring factual errors are a political liability for Biden, who is seeking a second term in 2024.
A Washington Post-ABC poll released this month found that just 32% of the public believes Biden has the mental sharpness required to serve as president.

I would never make a joke about anyone having cancer. However Biden clearly has very bad dementia (or something worse).Beau Bidens cancer can pretty much be directly linked to burn pits in Iraq.
So where they didn't lose him in Iraq, they likely lost him because of Iraq.
I have friends who suffer from the effects of burn pits having served in Iraq. It's no joke.
President bone spurs just dodged the draft
and instead of serving, his kids occupied their time robbing childrens charities.
I dont think you'll find anyone on here that thinks Bidens age is not an issueI would never make a joke about anyone having cancer. However Biden clearly has very bad dementia (or something worse).
The man's speaking in metaphor. This is something that human beings with functional brains do. Your English teachers might not approve, but three out of the last four US presidents very obviously did not do well in college English. That might once have been a job qualification, but no longer is.I dont think you'll find anyone on here that thinks Bidens age is not an issue
But to come on here and claim he has serious dementia because he may have said his son died in Iraq as opposed to saying his son died because he was in Iraq is a pretty disrespectful stretch.
Especially given the heaping steaming pile of human excrement leading the republican charge.
Pretty disrespectful? Are you joking? I'm being incredibly kind to a man that is so far out of his depth it's untrue. It's only because he's a puppet and I'm convinced he hasn't a clue what's going on around him that I choose to feel sorry for him. If I was treating him seriously, the posts would be excoriating, like his help cards during Q&As which not only show the photo and the name of the journalists, but the pre-prepared question he is going to be asked with a prepared answer for it.I dont think you'll find anyone on here that thinks Bidens age is not an issue

When President Joe Biden passingly said in a voting rights speech last week that he had been “arrested” in the context of the civil rights movement – even suggesting this had happened more than once – it was a classic Biden false claim: an anecdote about his past for which there is no evidence, prompted by a decision to ad-lib rather than stick to a prepared text, resulting in easily avoidable questions about his honesty.
Biden’s imaginary or embellished stories about his own history were the most memorable falsehoods of his first year in office. They were not, however, the only ones.
The President also made multiple false claims about important policy matters, notably including three subjects that occupied much of his time: the US withdrawal from Afghanistan, the economy and the Covid-19 pandemic.
And Biden was incorrect on numerous occasions when ad-libbing about a wide assortment of facts and figures – sometimes in a way that appeared inadvertent, but other times in a way that helped him make a political point.
