Current Affairs Joe Biden POTUS #46

Pretty disrespectful? Are you joking? I'm being incredibly kind to a man that is so far out of his depth it's untrue. It's only because he's a puppet and I'm convinced he hasn't a clue what's going on around him that I choose to feel sorry for him. If I was treating him seriously, the posts would be excoriating, like his help cards during Q&As which not only show the photo and the name of the journalists, but the pre-prepared question he is going to be asked with a prepared answer for it.

Even CNN on Biden's first year as President admit he makes things up continuously: Do you think it's got better since?

Fact check: A look at Biden’s first year in false claims

Normal politician behavior. If you want to make a point, you would have to show that he's doing it more than the rest of the peer group.

Trump makes Bill Clinton look honest. It's often easier to point out what Trump did not lie about in any given speech, than what he did. Biden's just a particular brand of politician that's nearly extinct - a hack weathervane who landed squarely on the party median for voting record in every Congress he ever served in. Which is hard to do, across six Senate terms. He probably hired good staff.

This doesn't play well on social media, which is why the kids tend to be edgelords. We just happen to be electing older versions of the kids, for the most part. Why, I couldn't tell you. It's not like they do anything other than raise money, run for re-election and post on social media. It's like we turned over Congress to a middle school student council, then were surprised when problems didn't get solved.

He’s past it. He’s doing America and the world no favours. I’ve no idea if De Santis is of any use, but really anyone who is not Biden or Trump must be an improvement…….

I would put it this way. The process produces prodigious fundraisers. They're like university presidents. Everyone except wealthy entitled narcissistic [stupid language filter] hates university presidents.

If you want to choose from people who are not university presidents, except that they mangle the English language on the regular, we would need to get the money out of politics.

Someone put this poor bloke out to pasture ...

President Biden told US forces stationed in Japan that his son Beau perished in the Iraq War, a video obtained exclusively by The Post reveals — after the president stoked questions about his own mental acuity by making the same incorrect claim at least twice last year.

“My son was a major in the US Army. We lost him in Iraq,” the 80-year-old president said during an informal visit with troops at Marine Corps Air Station Iwakuni on Thursday.

The traveling press corps, which has faced repeated access issues while covering the nation’s oldest-ever president, was kept far enough away that the remarks were inaudible.

The White House press office did not put out an official transcript, almost allowing the error to escape public notice.

Biden said in October of last year that Beau “lost his life in Iraq” and claimed the following month that Iraq was “where my son died.”

In fact, the president’s son died of brain cancer in 2015 at the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, Md.

Such glaring factual errors are a political liability for Biden, who is seeking a second term in 2024.

A Washington Post-ABC poll released this month found that just 32% of the public believes Biden has the mental sharpness required to serve as president.

He definitly looks like there early dementia or something going on. Clips of his speeches are sad. Incoherent rambling and lots of mistakes!

Its just crazy that the US has no other candidates to stand for President! Other than (the criminal) Trump!

It's self preservation, they saw how trump ended hillary and don't fancy a dose. It's easier to let the clown run and potentially win then clean up after it's gone. Politicians want to fight it out with other politicians, the anomalous nature of the clown makes it a wildcard. See the tory deference still to fuhrer johnson.

Glad to see you agree with me from our discussion in the other thread from a few days ago

I think the distinction is the specific politician versus what's going on at an ideological level these days. Biden is something of a throwback. Which isn't shocking, seeing how we're talking about an eighty-year-old white male who served six terms as a senator and two as Vice President.

Under Calvin Coolidge...
