He's clearly a muppet and has handled this Afghanistan exit terribly but remember a few things, It was Trumps plan anyway and Trump is 500 thousand times worse than this fella.

Sure, but I’m also tired of this as an argument in support of Joe. Of course he’s better than Trump. At the same time, you’re basically taking Trump’s covid argument where he said, “Yeah but China started it, so it’s not my fault.” I don’t care who started it. The reaction and moves made after are also really important, and the way this was executed is a disaster. Stop finger pointing and judge accordingly. Sometimes you’re dealt a bad hand. Doesn’t mean you have to go all in and make matters worse.

I said in my post that he's handled it terribly.

Not the best first seven months he's having eh

There has not been a single Politician anywhere in the world, or military leader (current or retired) who has said that he’s doing a good job in respect of Afghanistan There are a great many who have publicly stated he is an imbecile or it’s been shambolic. I think this tells you everything…..

That seems a bit unfair. He’s had a disastrous couple weeks with regards to the withdrawal from Afghanistan, there’s almost no debating that. That said, four presidents and two decades of terrible policy led us to a place where leaving that country was probably always going to end up being a **** sandwich that someone was going to eventually just have to eat unless the decision was made to just had troops there in perpetuity, which I don’t think was a good idea. There were no particularly good options on the table, but it certainly would have been nice to figure out a slightly less bad way to get out.

In the positives column, his administration absolutely crushed the vaccine rollout back in the late winter and early spring, which arguably was his absolute top priority upon taking office. It’s not his fault that half the country is too stupid to go get vaccinated.

He is the supposed leader of the free world. He has ignored and really upset his allies, he has ignored his Generals and the CIA who are now pointing fingers at everyone else, he has emboldened the enemies of the West and made terrorism a gift of a country. Someone needs to have a word with this man and tell him he has to go…..

Wow….

“ Meanwhile, a Democrat congressman, who made a controversial secret trip to Kabul, was also highly critical of the president.

Seth Moulton, a former US Marine, told New York magazine that the situation at the airport was disastrous.

"I've never seen more people cry, just salty Marines, seasoned State Department veterans, just break down in tears, talking about their work, and hugging me, and saying thank you for coming," he said.

"The thing that everybody needs to understand, even if you completely agree with the Biden administration’s decision to withdraw, the way they have handled this has been a total f****ing disaster."……

I must say Pete, I wish you applied this level of critique to the politicians you yourself have backed.
