Once again playing up front alone. How many times is the same [Poor language removed] drum going to be beaten?

He needs to play alongside another striker. Should have started with Yak and Jo. Maybe one day we may start with 2 strikers. Maybe Moyes will break the habit of a lifetime, till then do your knowledge and find the games that Jo plays alone and scores?

Totaly Agree he can't play with his back to goal, he needs a big guy to win the battles.(y)

Seeing as it's routine to rip into him after every game I thought I'd change the tune. Good performance from Jo today, excellent movement and intelligent link up play.

My man Fellaini also played very well. Interesting to see Moyes using a three man midfield with Rodwell, Cahill and Fellaini all coming towards the ball instead of one target man and two central midfielders.

That's what I noticed anyway, three central midfielders and our wingers playing higher up the pitch, closer to Jo.

Thought he gave his all but had an average first half improved immensely with support and when he dropped deep - all in all he did gave a performence.

He must be some player in training for Moyes to have this much faith in him.

I think perhaps i have to get the fact he cost 18million out of my head. For that fee you would expect a class striker, but he looks very average.

He like Fernandes mate, one or two good hooks in the game, i think he could be usefull as a traditional number 10 and looked best to me tonight when he dropped deeper.

Im still deliberating does he offer more then the soon to be on loan Vaughen.

I think if you look at their careers, Vaughan 39 Games 6 Goals
Jo 132 Games 41 Goals you can at least say he offers more of a goal threat.

Think that go's without saying.

He plays football matches week-in-week out

Jo is a superstar, just give him a striker to play alongside.

As everyone else, I will sing the same song. But at least my lyrics are fact based. XXXXXX

Jo, or - Joao Alves de Assis Silva even, is not as bad a player as some make out, I'm pleased that we have him on board and look forward to what he can offer during the rest of the season.

Who was the first brazilian to play for a top flight club anyway?

Total shot in the dark, Mirandinha or whatever his name was, at St James Park some years ago. Probably wrong but worth a try.

He was good last night, people give him too much stick. He had some class touches I don't know if people even notice once they've made their minds up.
