i think after the way we treated him last season i.e bringing his kid over. he just wants to play for us! and that was the hold up! city wanted us to pay loads and we didnt want to! but jo said he wants to play for efc!!! so city had to move on the deal!

I think it has more to do with wanting to be a part of our club more than lack of playing time at City.

Sure the lack of playing time has something to do with it but I really think that he wants to be a part of the set up here.

He's not been particularly prolific in the Brazilian league and was recently suspended for getting arrested for a loud party. He then claimed injury, disappeared from an airport, missed a champions league game, and, that night, was caught once more at a party. He refused to apologise for partying. Classic Jô, back to his old antics it appears...

That said, I secretly hopes he signs for Sounders FC in the MLS. Get Jô on ffs!!
