Good piece of business if £14M + Jo really happens.
There was also rumour about Richards (ok, it was from Kipper) and I really think we should try to negotiate also him to this equation. IF we sell Joleon, we need to buy at least one new defender. Although Micah wasn't as great last season as he was year before, he is without a doubt one of the most promising defenders in England. I rate him very highly, and I believe he has potential (already this coming season) to be even better than Joleon, so please David, add him to our squad, even if we receive less cash (rather loan Jo and get Richards permanently)!

I reckon that's a top piece of business right there.

Agreed, mate. He's a 21 year old Brazilian striker that has represented his country, and has a scoring record of something like 1 in every 2 games. He originally cost his club £19m. You've got to say that the lad has a good future, despite a few teething problems at City.

So far this is a £22m deal (I'm putting him at a paltry £8m, which is peanuts for PL striker). I think it will end up being more like a £30m deal, should it go through.

Wrap it up Moyesie.

Oh right, you should have said it was on Kipper, now it all makes sense, it must be true then.

Honestly, get a grip FFS.

Joking aside, it is strange that the article from the OS site today hasn't mentioned we're negotiating a loan move. Maybe the writer just assumed that we all knew that anyway? Maybe he forgot to mention it? Or maybe we're negotiating a full time move? If it is the last of these, you can bet it's part of a deal that will take Joleon to City.

Hmmm. At this time of year, and with a club like Everton, you can't help but attempt to read between the lines.

I do wonder what's up with some of you? We might not have much money but certainly not so desperate to sell of one of our top player for a mere 20~25M.

We don't have to sell no one to finance one big transfer each summer, so if City want Lescott they would have to paid well over the odd, something we couldn't resist and with Jagielka out till November it would take a record bid for a defender for us to even consider it.

It depends really, I mean I dont think City want him, but he cost them a lot of money, now money is no object to them, but they arent in the business of giving it away.

So I would assume the details are being ironed out. Price for loan, price to buy at the end, installments over 20 years, 50%APR, please be aware your home is at risk if you fail to keep up with the repayments on a loan or any other anything else secured on it, this does not affect your statutory rights.

I dont know why its taking so long to be honest.

If we get Jo permanently and he becomes one of the best strikers in the world do you think he would be more loyal because of what we have done for him? His career was going to [Poor language removed] at manc city and we gave him a chance and may of given him a chance to forfill his potential. And after what he went through at city and then being welcomed here in the way he was why would he want to leave and risk what happened at city happening again.

And good is this mustafi kid. If required how would he go in the prem, would he ready if we got some injuries. This will be a good deal if we can find someone capable of doing the job that jolean did. Maybe not someone as good as jolean but someone who could do the job.
Maybe we could just get someone to have in reserve that has potential to be like jolean but isn't quite there yet. And after all that hopefully we will have some cash left for naughton.

I agree, i cannot understand why many would not be bothered over Lescott going to City. His solid partnership with Jags would be broken for one. I always felt Everton was a buying club, not a selling one.

Probably because Lescott is their second preference behind John Terry.

Everton Hope to complete Jo deal before Bury game.
