This is certainly a very odd day for Everton...

Our bid for Naughton was accepted and we just got an ace striker for a whole year on loan.

I'm not used to this.(y)

Very good news that we have secured Jo and that both Peterlin and Mustafi have recevied their clearance and are ours.

Any guess about the fee we have to pay for Garbutt? My guess is about £1M.

Going to make the weekend much nicer knowing Jo is about for the full year.

Will be interesting to see how Moyes works out playing time between Yak, Saha, Jo and Vaughan. If Saha can stay fit, should see plenty of goals out of Everton this season(y)

Things are definetly coming together. Jo with the confidence he getting from us should have a breakout year. I'm still touting Saha to be injury free and be a huge help.(y)

Looks like it's going to be an exciting summer ahead. Great to have Jo on a season long loan. Hopefully with a option to buy. The way the deal dragged on, I'm confident it is. Personally don't think Lescott will be going and with a bid for Naughton accepted by Sheffield United, the summer shopping by Everton looks very promising.

I'm hoping this summer could prove out to be Moyesies biggest transfer spending since he took over. Maybe the transferkitty is bigger than expected? Now lets bring in Defour/Moutinho and someone who can play on the right wing (Tuncay/Obinna/???). If there's any money left, I'd like to add Fabian Delph to my wishlist, as I love Moyes' approach of buying young exciting prospects.

Back on topic now. I'm absolutely thrilled we signed Jo. Lets hope our injury prone strikers Saha and especially Vaughan can leave their injury nightmares behind them. Would love Vaughan to push Yakubu and Jo for a starting place.

If we got Defour id be made up!

if we got Defour and Delph i wouldnt sleep untill the start of the season!

Prove me right Bill (MBE)!

Would love it all to happen too. As said, I believe we could have more to spend this season than anyone expected.

Than again, I believe (hope for) that every summer.

So what was the hold up with the loan deal - an option and fee to buy?

We want detail Davey!

* Prays it had nothing to do with Lescott.

Maybe negotiating what percentage of his wages we are paying, or even just no rush over the details as both parties were certain it was going to happen.
