Jo and Saha ; Wouldn't make a centre forward between them

Our problem is that we got over run in midfield, the four of Arsenal dominated our 5 for 90 mins. Cahill and Felli got left upfront with Fabregas, Denilsen, Bendtner (Who played right) and Arshavin running straight at our back four, Neville just coulnt keep up with them..........

as sed b4 its not the forwards we should be looking at.yeah Jo was crap but he will improve and score for us. the midfield and defence were brutal.nobody had the balls to want the ball r was good enough to make it happen for us.
it comes down to our players looking at the arsenal players and being able to KNOW that they are better footballers...confidence i think its called... and that was sadly lacking yesterday. we need signings if we are serious about being a top team but no-one seems to be able to get a name to paper anymore
totally pi**ed off

Jo's a good player, some good movement yesterday, unfortunately our 'midfield' completely unable to join in and pass it to him, instead they passed backwards or if it was forwards it was in the air. Saha is inconsistent when fit.

Saha was more dangerous in 2 minutes than Jo for the whole time he was on. Saha will score a lot of goals for us if he stays fit.
Jo is just shocking. I cant believe any of you believe he is any good.

Saha is a top player. Suppose it was his fault for scoring too soon at wembley as well? Or them goals what turned the west ham and boro games. Key goals in key games. Behave.

Jury is out on Jo though

Both will do fine for us this season.

It's amazing what a 6-1 mauling at the hands of the opposition lets people see or think they see.

That's because a scoreline like that is rare in the league, maybe only happen once or twice a season, and when it happens people will sit up and take note. And all of us is shock we are at the recieving end of it.

sorry, lcab, but i'm going to disagree.

while i think 8 million would have been a fair price for saha- as he is 31 and we got him for free and he is on a pay as you play deal, he is still a world class player.

jo and saha both have lots of pace which is what you need in this league to succeed.

the whole team were poor yesterday, but i'm sure the forward lads will do a good job for us this year.

Saha looked awesome in pre-season .
At the end of last season , he was also playing well , and yesterday he looked fired up and ready to take on the world .

He is our form player at the moment , and Moyes messed up big time yesterday by only playing one striker .

Jo had no support throughout , and had he had Saha up with him from the off , I feel things would have been very different .

It's unbelievable how quick some of you people turn on your players so easly. Saha and Jo had nothing to do with the trashing arsenal gave us. Your faulting Jo for what ??? His job is to score goals (which he does nicely, very good finisher for that matter), but if he doesn't get the ball how the F*** can he do his job.

I mean if he was getting great services, or atleast adequate, from our midfielders and still miss all of his chances then I would totally fault him, but that's not the case. You can't give him (or Saha) stick for not tracking back, defend, win some balls and start the attack. That's the job our 5 !!! midfielders are supposed to do, I mean if thats what some of you want we might aswell be playing a 4-6-0.

I get the impression some of you might be happier with a striker that runs like a headless chicken all over the field tracking every ball even if he had 0 skills and finishing avibilty. pathetic.

good post mate.

Yeah lcab, you're old school and all that, so I understand your frame of reference, but Jo and especially Saha will do okay I think.

But Jo was especially bad yesterday, which was mirrored by every other player in blue.
