Should never have been brought on. Absolutely never in a million years.

Made up for him to be back playing but was clearly absolutely miles off the pace.
Would have been lovely if we were 3-0 up but I didn’t understand the thinking. DCL, Keane and Olsen were poor for the goal but he was a yard or two out of position and it was far too easy to pass through us. Why on earth did he feel we needed 5 defenders and 2 defensive midfielders? Fuming mate

I’m quite happy to defer judgement on the lad until next season. There is so much that has changed for him from coming to a new country, being a dad, not playing football in years and being in a global pandemic without fans. He needs time as he was really rated when we got him so we need to give him time to adjust and get comfortable again

Great to have him back.

Very little sample to judge, but I thought he showed good composure and a decent range of passing, looked to have a bit of vision and the cahonas to try it. Thought he looked a bit lethargic at times, thought he could have provided an option and support the play a bit more - couldn’t be match fit mind.

All in all though, very pleasing little cameo, looked faster and more mobile then I thought.

Good analysis of Batshuayi. What did you think of Gbamin though?
