Don’t even think about moving him out of that position again please. Don’t care how “good” Keane has been by his incredibly low standards, even at his absolute pinnacle of performance he’s not even half the footballer Branthwaite is.
In a 3 he'd surely still be the left sided centre half?
Rolls Royce player. Let's just play him centre back for the rest of the season please.
Yep. I've got no real beef with Keane and there's an argument that he could start instead of Tarkowski. Either way Branthwaite needs to start at CB.….you can’t keep real top quality out of the side, hopefully that hamstring has been very well managed (thanks mainly to Keane giving us the space to get him right).
Did anyone else notice how quietly efficient Tarkowski went about his business today with Branthwaite alongside him.Hopefully his injury problems are behind him now, he makes such a big difference to our defence when he is fit and firing. I thought he was absolutely outstanding today.
I dont think you can underestimate the importance of recovery pace in a cb partnershipTarkowski and Keane both need a speedy partner, when Tarkowski and Keane play as a pair, their lack of pace brings in an element of panic.
