January Transfer Window 2026

Arsenal looking to bring in players in January according to Arteta. Ndiaye linked before with them.

As good as he is, if Everton could get a desperate price off Arsenal we should think about taking it before his value drops.

It'd allow us to bring Dibling through and get a RB and CF in.

Obviously a big a decision if it comes to it.

Mate … we were getting turned down by players all summer that had any quality …

Selling our best player , leading scorer and best dribbler is not the answer as we won’t be able to replace him

People aren't going to like this comment but I wouldn't sign Grealish permanently. I think for the fee, wages and given his age, the potential downside is too great. That's not saying he hasn't been good for us, he obviously has, but this is the sort of signing I believe we should move away from. You're not wrong that they can go great and Gareth Barry is the best example of that but if they go wrong they are expensive mistakes. Younger players like Digne, KDH, Garner and Lukaku carry lower risk, of course, but we really need to start developing a scouting network that identifies these players before they get the move to the money clubs (all of them, bar Garner I think, came from other clubs not the academies of the clubs we bought them from), not after they've failed there and cost a premium.

Is sign him , just not for 50m and 200k a week

If pay 20m for him to come here on a perm though

Wages might be the problem though

The things I hate most about the transfer windows is those who either post rumours that they've "heard", without naming names or those who post fantasy wish lists.

I always hope to come on here and see genuinely sourced names that can then be discussed, but I know I'll be disappointed by the usual scaremongering posters saying"Moyes wants Souchek", when there is no basis in fact
To be fair to people on here, I went all in on what I’d heard about Dibbling in the summer and got roasted on here for it. I never claimed to be sourced up or in the know at all, I was just lucky to know some people who were close to him. So I can understand the reluctance to post some may have. It’s a jungle out there

BBC mentions Mainoo and Zirkzee.

But still no utterances of LB/RB ...

Surely this is the priority alongside a functioning striker?
Moyes wants full backs and a striker, apparently the club will only spend if a player they would move for in the summer comes available in January. Or it’s a really good deal. So I’d imagine a couple of loans late in the window. Let’s hope Roma win the Zirkzee race, he’s [Poor language removed]

Bobble saying the club don't think signings would guarantee a European place finish so they are very unlikely to try apart from loans. They won't let Mcneil go as aren't looking to replace him till summer.

Looks like we are only going to use 1 transfer window a year then.
But he did say, if a deal came available that was too good to turn down, then they may go for it.

The thing about McNeil is that we might never get more for him than we would this window, assuming it would be Dyche coming in for him.

It would be weird to not invest in the squad because you think it's midtable but then turn down potential (good value) sales. Obviously if there are no decent offers its a moot point.

It was mentioned on the bobble podcast, that if we got Europe, which is a long shot, then that makes recruitment a little easier next summer. I think they would sell McNeil if they got a good offer

A loan would be ok but I don't think either of the Utd players are what we need at the moment. I'm totally missing what people see in Zirkzee.

Glad we're not in for that Strand Larsen given the likely asking price. Decent enough but could be a one season wonder.
I'd take Zirkzee - i think he's unfairly maligned. From the few times I've seen him on the telly he looks very neat and tidy. Clearly a confidence player who's playing in a poor team (it's beyond me how they're above us). I reckon he'd thrive with the quality we have in that part of the pitch.

Mainoo I'd be less sure about fitting into our team. He's the more exciting prospect and likely better player but giving game time to Man United youngsters so they're ready for next season? Nah.
