January Transfer Window 2026

The last 2 seasons he has had 15 and 14 G/A (respectively) Ndaiye managed 9 G/A last season and people want £70-80m for him. Johnson might be a bit inconsistent but he is lightening quick and he scores goals. He is worth £45m, we paid nearly £30m for Barry and he has scored 1.

Something makes me nervous when dealing with spurs.

I think thats key. If there is a top player who is gettable for the right fee (which is what Moyes & Kinnear have said) then we'll move on them.

I dont think it necessarily prevents us signing a centre back or a central midfielder for example. If someone who can improve the 11 is available.

For me, Wolves know theyre going down. Joao Gomes is a quality player and so its worth an enquiry. They also have been linked to McNeil.

If theres no top players available at full back then the most we'll do is loan apparently. Even then, im concerned as its worth overpaying with full back now.

So many quality players were available the last 2 windows. Not so much now it seems.
João Gomes is a quality player and only 24. I would be all over that.

I would much rather we go with loans than permanent.

In our transitional state now, we will struggle to attract top drawer players, other than (like Grealish) we can get fringe players from top clubs. Unless we have another gem like Ndiaye lined up 🙏

And hopefully the Friedkins have higher aspirations than moyes for next season, so we don’t want to hamper the new manager with moyes players.

Right back & striker as a minimum. A LB would be a bonus.

do you know when moyes spends that answers your post

We must not go down that road again. That road leads to Schneiderlins and Gibsons. If we do that then TFG are no better than past custodians.

I get what you're saying you just have to be selective look at Digne, KDH, Garner and Grealish, Lukaku and Gareth Barry all fringe players at clubs with better squads
People aren't going to like this comment but I wouldn't sign Grealish permanently. I think for the fee, wages and given his age, the potential downside is too great. That's not saying he hasn't been good for us, he obviously has, but this is the sort of signing I believe we should move away from. You're not wrong that they can go great and Gareth Barry is the best example of that but if they go wrong they are expensive mistakes. Younger players like Digne, KDH, Garner and Lukaku carry lower risk, of course, but we really need to start developing a scouting network that identifies these players before they get the move to the money clubs (all of them, bar Garner I think, came from other clubs not the academies of the clubs we bought them from), not after they've failed there and cost a premium.

Retweeted by Moretto again tonight
Maybe something happening

Dovbyk is really slow and his holdup play seems worse than Barry's. Still, if it’s a loan we need to try something. For m
e the issue is that Dovbyk is the scorer of ugly goals in the box that require service- and we don't get enough balls into the box for that kind of player. Likewise, it is pointless playing Barry and expecting him to score, as it is playing Beto and not playing balls for him to run onto (something we did do last year when he had his purple patch).

The issue is as much to do with how we play as the personnel up front. I think full backs need to be the priority. A decent pair of them and we will create more chances and our existing strikers will score more. If we then add another forward, we can improve again.

But the way we play makes it seem like we will do well to have either Beto or Barry slot another 5 this season, and you could add Dovbyk to this too if he came in. FBs have to be the priority. They are a weak point going forward, but are also (in JOB's case) targeted as a defensive frailty by the opposition when we play better sides.

He is still young, give him time. Hit double figures in La Liga so he's not some misfit dragged up from a minor league.

The crowd at BMD want him to succeed given the reception he had coming off v Newcastle so I think they can see he is worth backing compared to Beto who needs to be moved on now.

Heard he's on the shortlist of West Ham striker targets so nice they've morphed into that basketcase prem club desperate to sign anyone. This club was in that state just two years ago. Remember Danjuma being hyped up as some Balon D'or contender on here?! Currently in and out of a Valencia side one point above the bottom three.

Did he hit double figures in la liga ?

Thought he had 16 goals last season but 10 or so were from he previous club ?

Genuinely asking not being smart …

But I’m also still haunted with the memory of Sandro scoring 20 la liga goals in a season
