January Transfer Window 2026

I don’t follow the redshysters and I don’t know much about Mo Salah apart from the fact he knows where the net is.

I would love it if Everton signed him and he started scoring for fun again and helped us get in the top 5 whilst they flounder.
I’m not even sure if/where he would fit in our team tbh. I’d just find it very funny.

Imagine the fume from The hills have eyes and all the other mutants.
It would be glorious my son.
The ultimate f you from Salad.

God bless.

It's different posters, SD. There's a constituency of "premier league proven" posters and a constituency of "develop talent for the future" posters. Neither have changed their minds, events just lead to one group or the other being more vocal. For example, @Zatara will always suggest young players from foreign leagues and @Eggs will always want premier league veterans. It's why they are always sniping at each other.

Actually for me a couple of things:

1: I'd typically prefer English young players over anyone from a foreign league

2: Happy to sign the likes of Tarkowski due to being good value

Eggs just posts whatever narrative supports Moyes no matter what it may be. If Moyes was playing Aznou and Dibling and they were doing well, he'd support that - if theyre not playing he'd support that.

Loves Doucoure, cant see the quality with KDH & Grealish.

Will be Franculino Dju and a right back

That would be ace.

If one good player per window could slot in we will be very hard to beat. Starting building from the back.

1 good player & a young highly rated prospect every Jan would be sensible. Summer needs more for now.

I’d like that, he looks very good but will
Moyes want another youngster with no prem experience. Moyes is a bit similar to dyche in that respect.
I didn’t want Moyes back, but fair play he’s doing well, but you wonder what’s the long game, we can’t let Moyes build a late 20’s squad and then walk away in 2/3yrs if he won’t play youngsters and is obsessed with prem experience, let’s have it right, Barry is only starting, because Beto is so bad.

Every single club after leaving the first time, went badly for him. I remember Irvine having to convince Moyes on players. Moyes stumbling into formations and finally using players.

All fine if he makes europe. If not then finger pointing.

Come on you can’t be serious, garner and Branthwaite prem regulars well before Moyes turned up. O’Brien has payed in the French league and Moyes is playing him out position, because he doesn’t fancy the Right backs we have, he’s picking Keane over him in his preferred position. IE more prem experience

And he’s got no history of developing young players

Spot on.

You should try stand up comedy mate, you would be good at it.

:)

Who are we thinking for RB in Jan?

I think @mccole may be the one who mentioned: https://www.transfermarkt.com/zakaria-el-ouahdi/profil/spieler/820474

also i completely randomly found this chap right before we were linked in the summer https://www.transfermarkt.com/omar-el-hilali/profil/spieler/822331

I see Oscar Mingueza is out of contract this summer https://www.transfermarkt.com/oscar-mingueza/profil/spieler/331505

Also Molina at Atletico is out of contract in 2027, perhaps he fancies a change https://www.transfermarkt.com/nahuel-molina/profil/spieler/424042

I'm sold. Moves a bit like Southampton/early Liverpool Mane

Too expensive for us unfortunately, and unlikely to move in January, perhaps in the summer. There will be bigger clubs after him preparing to pay a lot of money. No pl experience, but pl prices...so huge risk

Barry’s career is on an upward trajectory, each season is better than the one before.

Ferguson had a good few months 4 years ago and since then has been dropped by Brighton (for Danny welbeck) and has had two failed loans, along with rumours over his lifestyle choices.

It’s a gamble and it might pay off - similar gambles for us on younger players that have gone wrong haven’t (Van der meyde, Drenthe)
Hope Barrys career is on the up but he only has 1 goal.
Only place I saw those lifestyle rumours is on here, he just turned 21, I agree it is a gamble but as I said a loan with option is low risk as cant imagine his wages are high.

….he’ll play youngsters with little or no PL experience if they’re good enough, have no doubt about that. He’s turned O’Brien into a regular at 24, established Garner as a top midfielder at the same age, selected Barry over Beto, Branthwaite a regular at 23 until his injury.

Moyes selects young players in our team, off the top of my head, probably Grealish the only 30yo he bought in the last window.
Think you might have a very different view on what 'youngsters' means to most people

24 is the start of a footballer's peak age lol

You think? Record transfer fee for a player from Danish Superliga is €25m.

If we made a decent offer in Jan I think Midtjylland would find it hard to turn down. Would another club would make a rival bid is probably the question, I know he's been watched by Bayern and a couple of others.

If we have any decent youngsters he’ll play them, and as this season is showing he’ll play them if they absolutely pants too.

Wesley at Roma is meant to be ok
