I love the conference league and have had some incredible away trips with Shamrock Rovers. Issue for Everton qualifying for that is that squad spend drops to 70% of turnover but you don’t get enough new income to compensate
Agree but only if quality is available. If not we shouldn't just spend for the sake of it. This season was more about stabalising our position in the league for me. If something pops up or long term targets are available then yes. If not, I think we need to get short term cover for certain positions and wait until the summer.
We went from McNeil and Harrison to NDiaye and Grealish. We need a similar quality upgrade with the fullbacks.

Unless he would make us better, which he might. I reckon it will be a close call, no point buying a MF if it could block him next year but we defo need one so I suspect a loan if possible with an option. If no loan available then we recall him.

Ake is a good player but definitely not a full back, he can get away with at City because they don’t play him as a proper full back, hence why O’Reilly is starting ahead of him, and when they do they just have the 5/6 ahead of him all taking the ball to do the attacking side.
You mean someone whos past it, who calls the manager rubbish, tells all of our best players to leave and starts trying to take the training ground sessions behind the managers back?

How we play in december will decide what else we need. A striker is definetly on the list if the problem with Beto and Barry persist like it has so far this season. But if they finally get firing, we shouldn't be looking to overspend and upset the squad with a panic purchase - rather maybe try for someone with potential that can look to grow as 3rd choice.

I wondered if there was a strategy to play McNeil so as to sell him. Book value down to circa 8 million. Seemed to come on in games where it was game over either way, and at times you would think it would be ideal to blood Dibling.

I don’t follow the redshysters and I don’t know much about Mo Salah apart from the fact he knows where the net is.
I would love it if Everton signed him and he started scoring for fun again and helped us get in the top 5 whilst they flounder.
