January Transfer Window 2026

Think it's a bit thin to finish top ten, injury to Garner and a Tarkowski red could be very damaging. Really need a RB who actually plays in that position.
Just need to make sure we get who we want at RB, if that means waiting til the summer I’ve no issue. Top 10 will be completely dependant on whether we get a goalscorer or not. We can’t expect the midfielders to bail us out all season, and we won’t make it with Beto and Barry.

Two good fullbacks would have a massively bigger effect on the team than a new striker.

Not sure that’s true. Defensively we’ve got a good record still. New fullbacks would help going forward but if we’ve still got no one to put the ball in the net their value would already be diminished.
We've scored 18 goals from an xG of 18.5 - as a team we're not underperforming our chances really at all, and the strong likelihood is that will continue to be the case overall across the full season.

Meanwhile we have two of the best wingers in the league, which is an insane thing to be true, and they're both being enormously hamstrung by having absolutely 0 attacking support from their fullbacks.

We need both but I’d say getting a competent striker in would win us more points than getting in a full back

….if we only signed ‘gems’, we’d be permanently in the top 4. I expect every player is signed in the hope they’ll be a gem but they tend to be few and far between.
People tend to forget it's an imperfect science

Even at the very top there are as many misses as hits. The bigger clubs have bigger squads a d can afford to miss so you notice it less
