January Transfer Window 2026

weve needed a right back since 2017

in that time we’ve signed sidibe on loan and patterson

tbf to brands he lined up Dumfries and Livramento but the waiter said no

why in this era are we allowing two ego maniacs who had their hay day in 2005 ruling the roost over our transfers

klopp and guardiola don’t veto players from what the recruitment team suggest, so why do we allow moyes too?
Great points.

just to clarify the bit in quotation wasnt me but the bit after was

Like our performances Vs Leeds and Brighton... Left things too late. Fancy doing this to the guy's family.

What's McNeil gonna feel like between now and end of season. Way to go building confidence for an already fringe player...

I got pilloried on here suggesting we could make 10m+ on him.

EFC turns down twice that. Joke leadership, and sticks a nail in his season all in one go.

Moyes needs to turn the end of season around now or finally loses my support for a future here. I've always been loyal, but Jan performances and this window need to ring alarm bells.
This is all in your head though.

I've never seen Norton Cuffey play. Any good?

6ft+, fast, attack minded but has defensive qualities, strong and phyiscal, good technically. came through arsenals youth set up and has played in the championship and for england u21s

aside from a player from the premier league, he seemed to be the closest bet to ‘Prem ready’

there are plenty of prem ready right backs in the league that i would take, but none of them will be signing for everton. so I’m not sure where that leaves us if thats whats required:

Kayode- could join but only if we finish higher. we’re looking at at least 30m i imagine. a lot of money for a rb

Hume - not sure he’d leave sunderland for us, not sure he’s that good

tete - lol

trippier - please no

jiminez - similar to kayode at brentford they’d be looking for a big fee

munoz - would be class but imagine he’d have a lot of admirers, and can he play in a back 4?

bogle - did look decent the other day, but hardly inspiring

neco williams - not sure we’re his cup of tea

wan bissaka - could be available on a cut price if they go down but not a progressive right back and getting on a bit

15m there for a young promising player rated by Inter. but moyes thinks patterson is more ready

I’m still happy with moyes being the head coach and manager of the side, but we shouldn’t have been giving him such clout over transfers with him being a short term fix

though would grealish have happened if he hadnt pushed for it? swings and roundabouts

You make a compelling argument. It now seems weird we didn't get him when 15mil.
Let's hope Patterson maintains his decent form and we don't regret it

Over 14000 posts for just one player signed lads. Seems a good trade of time lads. Really enjoyed your expertise in scouting and rage demands which invoked the club into going all out to meet your entitlement.

Let’s do it all again in summer lads.

its cheaper than therapy

plus my last therapist told me to get a grip and come to them with some real problems

another dig at moyes

we need a RB for half a season

i dunno mate lol

To be honest. Its now a time for the younger or fringe players to show what they are made of.
Can Rohl and Tim up their game to be considered regular starters in the centre? Can Dibling show what he's about? Can Barry now show he's the main man where we may just have to get a backup for him?
Others like Aznou, Harrison and Alcaraz...all players that should they step up, means we really need to concentrate on a left and right back in the summer.

I’m not sure what more rohl could have done vs villa but he hasnt played a minute since

tim looked great up until his injury, only garner, there’s a chance he might have kept gana out of the side had he stayed healthy and continued that form

aznou got a 5 min cameo and won a penalty, hasnt been seen since

We’ve scoured the world mate.

There are no full backs better than Patto and Miko.

What do you not understand about that.
We can blame Moyes, but we've had about 6 different managers who've all had the same issue at RB and not one if them have addressed it. There's clearly a shortage of right backs in the world.

Since 2016, we've tried Cuco Martina, Sidibe, Jonjo Kenny, Patto.

Love Seamus but he's had zero competition his whole career.
