January Transfer Window 2026

To be honest. Its now a time for the younger or fringe players to show what they are made of.
Can Rohl and Tim up their game to be considered regular starters in the centre? Can Dibling show what he's about? Can Barry now show he's the main man where we may just have to get a backup for him?
Others like Aznou, Harrison and Alcaraz...all players that should they step up, means we really need to concentrate on a left and right back in the summer.

Some places reporting that Palace wanted to change McNeil’s terms from “Obligation to buy” to an “option to buy” I think we were right to pull out of the deal on that basis. It’s only worth really letting McNeil go if we were definitely getting the money in the summer.

They changed the terms on us when the Mateta deal fell apart according to Ornstein at least.

We don't have cover. We don't have a left footed centre back and he is a massive massive upgrade on anyone else who plays there.
He is a massive upgrade agreed. We also have a total of four centerbacks...him O'Brien, Tarks and Keane, even Myko in a push. We dont have that many he have played regularly in Jacks position. Tbh if you want to be right, you are right. I really couldnt really give a Moyes.

another dig at moyes

we need a RB for half a season

weve needed a right back since 2017

in that time we’ve signed sidibe on loan and patterson

tbf to brands he lined up Dumfries and Livramento but the waiter said no

why in this era are we allowing two ego maniacs who had their hay day in 2005 ruling the roost over our transfers

klopp and guardiola don’t veto players from what the recruitment team suggest, so why do we allow moyes too?

Great points.

Selling McNeil for £20 million is not in any way shape or form negative.
Like our performances Vs Leeds and Brighton... Left things too late. Fancy doing this to the guy's family.

What's McNeil gonna feel like between now and end of season. Way to go building confidence for an already fringe player...

I got pilloried on here suggesting we could make 10m+ on him.

EFC turns down twice that. Joke leadership, and sticks a nail in his season all in one go.

Moyes needs to turn the end of season around now or finally loses my support for a future here. I've always been loyal, but Jan performances and this window need to ring alarm bells.
