There must be better value than Mateta out there. He had one purple patch at Palace, he’s been poor for them for a while now.
He's scored 8 goals this season in this supposedly poor patch. Our top scorer this season has 4. Just for a bit of perspective.
The purple patch you've described seems to have lasted 18 months too.
