With this current team, two poor strikers will cost us Europe, our right backs won’t.
if we get europe great if we don’t we don’t - we need to buy bigger in summer

Every player is always looking for the best deal, whether its at their current club or a different one. Who knows, maybe he's perfectly happy at Fulham and will sign a new contract at some point or perhaps at his age, he'll want to seize the last opportunity to maybe join a bigger club that can offer Europe/possible trophies and also get the best contract offer as a free agent. It's a no-lose situation for him either way, why not have as many options as possible.I agree
But what they have in common is that they were Fulham players looking for the best deal as their contracts run down
Wilson doesn't exactly seem unhappy at Fulham and is playing well
It's an investment, pure and simple. No emotional attachement. The fact that they have not bothered to attend a single match since takeover is telling the full story. Very different at roma where Dan has been in attendance. They might sell the club in a few years time and triple their money.ok they’ve signed us for a laugh and are skint - behave yourself

Yep...and we'll do well to stay 10th with the current squad as it is which at least is an improvement on the last few years. We are tenth.

Summer will have new financial rules in place as psr will not apply anymore. I would have been tempted to use all the psr room left now (which we do not know if any, I guess it would depend on the sale of women's team/goodison last year) as in the summer rules are changing anyway. Not sure how big we can go in the summer...if we get europe great if we don’t we don’t - we need to buy bigger in summer
Maybe. But he will have to go out on loan for 2 years, track back,We’re really not signing anyone are we![]()
This. Spot on Mattyif we get europe great if we don’t we don’t - we need to buy bigger in summer
If the club is worth triple what they paid in a few years time, I’d say that would be an excellent outcome for all concerned. It's an investment, pure and simple. No emotional attachement. I dont buy the "further along in that project". I am quite sure they showed up early on after the acquisition of roma. Roma was in a mess when they took over, probably not far off where we were also not that long ago. I accept though that Rome (an incredible beautiful city) is no competition to Liverpool. But the location shouldn't matter here, and that alone shouldn't be the only reason why Dan cant be bothered to turn up at our new stadium. If the club is worth triple what they paid in a few years time, I’d say that would be an excellent outcome for all concerned.
Did you honestly expect emotional attachment from our American investors? If they are showing more interest in Roma it’s because a) they’re further along in that “project” and are legitimately challenging for honours, and b) it’s in Rome.
Different strokes and all that. If that’s important to you then I get why you’re not happy with them. I don’t expect love and affection from them, nor will they get it from me. I just want them to make my footy team better and then flog us to someone even richer when that happens so we can get better again.I dont buy the "further along in that project". You dont have to necessarily grow the club to increase his value...the pl value is on the up year after year, and that alone increases the value of every single member. Of course if you can also grow the club, but this does not equate to buying top players or fighting for titles. In fact we can see that the priority right now seems to be to maximise profits from our new stadium whilst spending very little in the squad. Yes we spent some money in the summer, but this is small compare to what's needed to fight at the top or even near the top.they’ve had other people therye
you don’t buy a club if you don’t wanna grow it. if they sell us n a few years and we’re better as club so be it
to say they aren’t bothered is a joke
