Very surprised I got 3 unsure’s on that post. This is Sunderland we’re talking about and this guy only averaged 1 goal in 3.5 games in the championship and has the same number of goals as Barry. I’m not sure how many starts he has. But our aspirations should be miles above him
Sometimes it's not players not being good or bad it's whether their attributes suit the club or what are the particular preferences of their manager, he's looked decent on the pitch when I've watched him and just because a player doesn't thrive at one club doesn't always indicate they're terrible.
Disagree, the guy is 25 and played for 8 clubs already . Didn’t score many goals in the championship and hasn’t many in the prem. he’s not turning up at Everton and getting 15/20 goals. Yakubu scored goals at Portsmouth, Middlesbrough and then Everton.

maybe you need to reassess your expectations if you think bringing in a striker for 25m would be that fruitful. I think as a possible Beto upgrade it could be something, ultimately I'm indifferent either wayYeah I mean he’s probably better than Beto but that would just be the latest in the line of thinking that got us Rondon (better than nothing), Maupay (better than Rondon) and Beto himself (better than Maupay).
Unless he’s decidedly better than Barry, and there’s no real indication he is, I don’t see the point in lobbing more money at a small incremental upgrade to Beto.

His way to 15. It’s not a huge amount. The last thing we should be doing is paying 25mil for another striker who’s unproven at this level.
If he’s not that fruitful then don’t waste the money. It’s a 40mil outlay on fees and wages for a potential upgrade on Beto. If that’s the best the club can do, then the recruitment team need sacking
Better than McNeil so if we could sell McNeil and have Wilson as backup that would be fine. No idea why he'd join us as backup though when surely plenty of clubs, maybe not necessarily in the Premier League though, would guarantee him a start each week.
