January Transfer Window 2026

“We’re trying but it’s harddddddddd and doesn’t look likely. Seamus and Jarrad are back on the grasssss so that’s 2 new additions we didn’t have. The boy Aznou looks like he can give me a couple of minutes as an option while he’s not in the gym, so in a sense we are looking healthier now”
I can almost hear him saying that too

He's proven he's worth the season, regardless of opinion..

I suppose he deserved to get this season after turning our fortunes around from January last season. However, he was always a known quantity and we all know what headroom there is with Moyes to push on - not much.

He should have been handed a rolling year long contract. Maybe TFG have him on one. If they do then if top 10 alludes us this season he'll be gone.

How does my saying he'll crack on with what he's got contradict the fact he was not short of players to put out?

As far as I remember we got a team out - it's just that he couldn't motivate them / play them in a correct formation / hand them a winning game plan....because he's not adaptable...which is where his dinosaur reputation comes from.

Injured players coming back will help but not solve the problems:
1. Defending crosses, this is coaching.
2. Pickford frozen to his goal line. This is basics.
3. Adapting to injuries. Moyes cannot. Other coaches do.
4. Aznou cameo summed up Moyes in 5 mins. The lad has been watching the turgid game and knows exactly how to play. Pace, energy and direct.
5. Admitting youre wrong. Moyes cannot do this so sticks to keane, obrien at right back.
6. It will be the usual 1 in 4. One good performance followed by 3 capitulations as he cannot coach a positive mindset.

Oh not so happy Jack?

You never know mate, there could be more behind the scenes than just the old "January is a tough window" speech..

A loan could answer the question,
A purchase could hit hard..

Nothing, and you'll be stick with your head in your hands until the summer..

But it isn’t done though? We are 2 points off a European place with 17 games remaining and 8 players to come back into the team. We’ll still need a right back when the summer comes around as well, at which point you’ll be telling us we need to wait until late in the window to ensure we get the right players in again.

It’s about time this football club showed some urgency and competence. I’m sick of being told to trust a process that is non existent in order to excuse lazy, incompetent individuals at the club.
It's done Mike. Even if we buy players we'll still have the same issues with Moyes at the helm. If we buy a player from abroad for instance Moyes will insist on 'easing' him in until he's Premier League 'ready' Plus the tactics will stay the same so even if we buy a new striker he'll probably struggle to score many aswell and we'll be saying how rubbish he is.
