January Transfer Window 2026

Buying even more players simply adds to the expectation levels on Moyes to produce - which is what he wants like he wants a hole in the head. People know this, right?

He'll be looking to the returnees to get us playing better after January's window shuts (which they will) and for that to get us improved results (and there will be).

Then we'll get to the summer and the same nonsense cycle begins again with late August arrivals and issues over bedding in and then starting the season off; and by January we'll be out of two cups and looking at getting top 10 again as 'the objective'.

Welcome to Moyes' Mersey Paradise.
You forget to mention when all that happens there will be a flood of requests on here for Moyes to be given an extended contract!

He used to have a free role and would pop up all over the pitch.

Not saying he is as good but I’d play him like requelme did

Just let him play as a 10 and let him drift around drawing fouls and picking passes all over the opponents half … he’s the only one that can do it atm
Its a nice idea but I don't see Sgt Maj Moyes letting any player have a free role, that's all a bit radical for him imo.

Looking forward to Moyes pouring cold water on all the links today
“We’re trying but it’s harddddddddd and doesn’t look likely. Seamus and Jarrad are back on the grasssss so that’s 2 new additions we didn’t have. The boy Aznou looks like he can give me a couple of minutes as an option while he’s not in the gym, so in a sense we are looking healthier now”

Isn't O'Brien currently our best right back? Moyes seems to think so since he keeps playing him there. So why is it depressing or lacking ambition if we are judging a potential signing by whether or not he is better than our current first choice?
It's all about the height. If they can bomb down the wing and put a pinpoint cross in, that doesn't count apparently.

Several Italian clubs are keeping close tabs on Orel Mangala.

The Belgian midfielder is looking for more playing time amid limited minutes at Lyon and a January exit is an option.

No advanced talks yet, but the situation is evolving and developments are expected soon.

#bring a blue home lol. Has played 1 game in his career as right back i see

Couldn’t fault the lads effort but he was so slow it was ridiculous.

Just to wish you good luck today guys with the same existential rants typed in slightly different ways.
Just for you bud..

Come on folk, it's been rather tame in here over the past few days.

The weekend is upon is, dark sky's above, a tiny glimpse of sunshine, but not enough for any Morrocon currently plying his trade in Turkey..

COYB

Up the Aggro !!!

Everton dithering and delaying again.

Other teams seem to be able to get signings in early doors, why can’t we?

It’s the same every year. All the lids will be up til midnight watching SSN in the hope we sign someone on TDD. All they’ll see is the security guy locking up finch farm and switching off the lights.
Even my local team Oxford united are making signings ffs. They have a [Poor language removed] ground with 3 stands and are odds on for the drop.
