January Transfer Window 2026

how do you know the ambition?

coz they haven’t sacked moyes?
You can only judge ambition based on actions

To date, we've had an absolutely shambolic summer transfer window with lots of late signings of bad players for inflated fees. Leaving us with squad extremely unbalanced and totally ill equipped for a long season and the players at AFCON.

They knew this in September so have they planned for January. Clearly not.

We played a reserve team in one cup and lost at home in the other. Both woeful performances where we didn't lay a glove on an average opponent.

Our hone form at the new stadium is no better than at GP so that's already a concern.

So I see no actual ambition for this club other than staying up. Things can change but that's where we are as of now. No one seems to care enough to actually do something to make us better.

Exactly usual 2nd /3rd rate standard that we’re used to with this club

When are we going to sign someone who can actually do the job they were hired for?
For example, you sign a striker, you expect to have hired someone with the skill, means, and know-how to actually put that spherical thing known as a ball into the net! That is their specialty. That is the one thing above all others they should be good at. A penalty should not be a major test for such a specialist!!!
It's no different from any other job. If you hire a plumber, you expect them to know the difference between a pipe and a bag of crisps!
I am just curious how our recruiters pick out the strikers they do (same question applies to other positions in the team, and covers the past couple of decades).
