January Transfer Window 2026

I’d say he was spot on

Travers- still no idea why
King- I actually have no idea who this is
Grealish- loan (which is fine)
Rohl- ??
Barry- ugh
Alcaraz- who knows anymore
KDH- better than anticipated but not in the right spot
Dibling- UUUUUGGGHHHH
Aznou- ^insert Carlos "who" gif^
not exactly an inspiring summer from our recruitment team one would say.

I can confirm that as a fella with a kid and full time job and in general, a life, I have not sat down and thoroughly scouted and analysed these players, mate.

The point I'm making isn't that we should sign the specific players I've listed. The point I'm making is that there are a lot of players out there who would improve on what we have for, relatively speaking, not massive fees.

One of the first players we were in for last summer was Tete at Fulham, was all but done, then Fulham offered him more money. These things happen, but it's mad that we haven't been seriously linked with a right back, since. Obviously, none of us are privvy to what goes on behind the scenes. In my opinion, they banked too much on being able O'Brien there for another season and focused on other targets, but I think now that has to end as it's affecting things at both ends of the pitch now, not just going forward.
The point I'm making is we're better off waiting then buying a player just for the sake of it. Better players are harder to acquire after all in general so as Moyes alluded too its down to availability of the targets we have for the right back position rather than buying someone average for the sake of it just because they're an 'upgrade' on Patterson. Have we as a fanbase forgotten the damage caused in the Moshiri era by buying players without due care and diligence which lumbered us with rubbish players on big contracts who we couldn't shift?

If Walker-Peters was a real target then even more reason not to trust Moyes with the transfer kitty (albeit WP was on a free)....he's horrendous.
Exactly. I'd rather we wait for the right player then buying rubbish because we've panicked. Sure its more than frustrating watching O'Brien at right back but I think we'll be better off long term if we keep our nerve. Anyway if rumour is true we may be after that Genk right back who looks promising with 4 goals this season

Due care - Everton 🤔

That "due care" in summer saw us get turned down at every opportunity..

Im midly confused just seen Nuno in his press conference telling JWP he needs to leave the club.

Im confused, he was decent player when he went there and since West Ham have had a massive issue with him.

Worth a punt or am I talking pish?
I think the clue is he's not deemed good enough for a club that looks championship bound who is 30 and on a decent wedge

Was reading this tweet the other day and thought how absolutely mental is that? A club needing full-backs, looking in the market for a full-back. Could never imagine that sort of out-of-the-box thinking going on here.

Problem is though mate, there are no full backs available in the whole world of footy as we speak.

Really, though, we shouldn't be in a position where we have to make do with a player who just so happens to be available. It's a position we have been short in, not just this season but for many seasons, and the people in charge of recruitment should have had targets lined up, agents spoken to and preliminary conversations with clubs long before the window opened and long before Keane decided to get into hairstyling. The Keane thing has thrown it into sharp relief but it's an ongoing problem.
