January Transfer Window 2026

I think we will defo see a loan or two mate.

January is a marginal gains window, like Charly last year - he gave us that little bit of an extra dimension to tip one or three results our way- that’s what I’d be hoping for again.

Where the window lands in the Football calendar with a World Cup in the summer, there will be good players looking for exposure and mins, there will be
opportunities IMO this window.

Said this earlier in Dec…haven’t changed my mind.

With Armstrong coming back do we think that we may get shut of one of our midfielders this Jan then if something comes in…. Alcaraz, McNeil maybe.

Or is it just with the players out we need that extra body for this month.

Just not sure whether we will send him back on loan at the end when the likes of KDH, Ndiaye, Gana and Alcaraz are also back and fit

Botafogo have received a transfer ban until they pay up unpaid transfer fees, so may affect any reported interest we might have had in their right back Vitinho.

Only rumors in the Brazilian press but was thinking a loan with buy option could have been done

I thought was just bringing players in a transfer ban, but could let players out. A loan would cover all his wages and bring money in for them

With how strong our CB are Id like to see a go at the 3 at the back and pick up some solid wing backs.

Pickers
Obrien - Tarkowski - Branthwaite
New signing - garner - KDH - new signing
Dibling - N'Diaye
Barry/new signing

Next season line up a 343 without Grealish, with dibling and N'Diaye back on the left both with the licence to pull wide to come in depending on how they think they can best influence the attacking transition and wing backs bombing down the wing at every opportunity.

343 is just a pretty name on paper, that turns out 5 at the back on the field..

GK: Pickford, Travers, King, Tyrer
LB: Mykolenko, Aznou
CB: Branthwaite, Keane
CB: Tarkowski, O'Brien
RB: Patterson, Coleman
LW: Grealish, McNeil
CM: KDH, Alcaraz / Rohl
CM: Garner / Armstrong
CM: Iroegbunam / Gana
RW: Ndiaye, Dibling
CF: Barry, Beto

The obvious areas to strengthen are clearly LB and RB.

Beyond that, McNeil & Beto need upgrading.

4 positions to improve on. Hopefully we fix at least RB.
