If we did have £35m to spend in January that's 2x full-backs for me not a winger whose only skill is scoring goals when playing in a side that doesn't create much.

Johnson is a strange one to me. He's incredible at shooting and that's basically it really. Feels like a player you add to a team that's creating good chances, not one that's struggling to? I don't see it. Feels like a great player for palace - a counterattacking team - but not for one that's playing at all like we do.

Look I don't think it will happen ( Palace more attractive for him FFS ?) but it would make sense to get him in now if either we don't intend to get Grealish or a permanent or intend to play him central or we anticipate N'dayie moving on in the summer.

I've no crystal ball but wouldn't be surprised at either scenario.

Get what people have said about the window not spending money but a rb should be in the door on a loan or we pay the money. Also we need better options out wide, i get people would want another profile like the lyon lad in the summer maybe. But think johnson is a good player and can cover a few positions. If we did bring him in would expect mcneil to be sold, so would help knock down the price with ffp.

Yep. This makes sense to me. If we not getting Grealish then Johnson maybe a really good buy. Not sure I see him as a natural number 9
