January Transfer Window 2026

because spurs signed a shiny kudos from west ham and benched him

this is classic spurs, they buy too many players for one position when they already have a very good player to play in that position

also the merry go around with managers doesn't help any player
I can agree with you there. Still begs the question why none of the big hitters are after him if he's a half price Semenyo as you say

That's a lot more than if thought he'd managed.

The complaints I see are about him on the ball. I'd love 18 goals here.

Considering as a club, we're half way through the season and have scored 18 in total.

I watched a lot of him at Forest and rate him. Never hides, and a big game player too.

If he replicates what he's done at Spurs, then he'd be a big player for us.

I mean, the fella was their top goalscorer and got the goal that won them the Europa League.

He's 24, and what can £33m get Everton nowadays?

Now I'm thinking about it a bit more....

How many of those have come from him playing that Salah-hang off the last defender and wait for a massive hoof to sort him a one on one that Big Ange had them playing?

We don't really play anything like that with such a high winger, he'd be back and asked to do defensive work.

I think we need someone able to carry the ball at pace more than someone hanging off the last man on the wing which is what I think he has been at Spurs.

Make your own mind up.

But you could say that about Richarlison too, spurs fans are somehow more critical of their players than us
They got to a Champions League final and ended up 17th within a decade. That will break you.

Look at every Evertonian in their 50s and it's the same thing. It's hard seeing the fall from grace and theirs was rapid.

Not us Evertonians in our mid 30s, all we've known is the highs of mediocrity and as we were raised in the crap times we have familiarity with it.

Oh I'm all for taking the chance with 33 million.

I can't see him choosing us over Palace unless we blew them away on wages. He wouldn't have to sell his house. Seems a fairly straightforward move.

We should be interested though. It's the right profile for us.
I could see him choosing us. I get that Palace are appealing this season, but thats because of Glasner who almost surely wont be there next season. This is Palace's first season in the top half, and Johnson seems to value competing for Europe...and theres little reason to believe they can after Glasner leaves.

For that reason I can see him preferring us. Now Im not saying I think its wise to spend money on a player whos going to be important for only a few weeks for us(this season). If it didnt get in the way of bringing in a FB and striker, sure, but I dont see how that happens.

he was spurs top goalscorer in the league last season and the only player to score more than 10 league goals for spurs

they were hardly prolific

How many times have we seen our wingers in them sort of positions and pass backwards or sideways instead of taking a man on and getting a shot away.

I mean, we don't really have much to put up ourselves against this. Not having to move house and from London can be a big pull.

I'd be happy if we did the deal, we are desperate for goals.

I'd be putting him up top immediately.
