Apparently we were after him for 10m in 2024 before he went to Monaco for 15m. Imagine.

The litany of now-incredible players we were linked to with Thelwell but didn't quite have the money for is so long haha. But then exactly the same issue seems to have beset him at Rangers so who knows how good he really is

The thing is, if we got every player we were "somewhere" linked with.
Their wouldn't be any teams around to challenge us.

To be fair, the list of highly regarded right backs under the age of 30 and who are about to be out of contract in 2026 is just a google search away.

I'd assume that our powers that be will have a more extensively researched list, and we will be after targets at RB and LB.

The dude at Roma Manu Kone, is one of the best gettable midfielders I've seen in a while - prob cost £40 mill +, but the he's going to the top and perfect for this league.

The Garner RB thing should really be a last resort thing now, we have our recruitment team up to full compliment and should be able to finally sort this issue out with an actual specialist, if not then some serious Phil Neville levels of finger pointing need to occur, the RB thing is getting beyond the joke now.

I know Robinson has been injury prone but if fit i think he'd be brilliant for us. Real pace and an attacking threat.

Someone like that even allows you to get away with a very defensive right back (although I'd like another one of them also).
