January Transfer Window 2026

This site at this point basically consists of the same 5 conversations happening on a constant loop, because people who try to challenge popular opinion or make any kind of deeper analysis get immediately dismissed and shut down.

I think it really depends whether or not they are arguing their point in good faith. Increasingly online and in real life, that is not the case. Bad faith arguments need to be shut down.

Some nice goals and hold up play on there, makes him look tailor made for the prem. my one massive concern would be what on Earth is wrong with the lad if they think Beto is a better option?

That’s the worry for me with buying any striker in January. If you’re looking at top-flight strikers, you’re only going to get the ones who are out of form or not rated to begin with. I would maybe loan someone like Dovbyk but certainly not buy.

Dovbyk did well under Ranieri last season and before that at Girona, but struggled this season under Gasperini, so might be he doesn’t fit his system.

Maybe both going on loan with buy fees agreed would be a good option

Isn't this the kind of thing we need to be very careful over?

Whilst it could be down as an advantage of multi club ownership, isn't it the kind of thing UEFA would look at in the unlikely event we are in the same competition as Roma.

Also, if we did do this it's bound to end in a points deduction against us and a penalty for Liverpool
