January Transfer Window 2023

This is rivalling last January for sheer farce.

Wasted a loan spot on a player the owner was talked into signing.

Sold one of our best players as he’d fallen out with a manager we were about to sack.

Bought 2 crap full backs that the DoF that had already quit had identified.

Brought in a new manager on deadline day and asked him if he wanted two number tens for a squad he’d never worked with.

Some of that is true but Digne has been pretty poor since we sold him. I think we’d have gone down last season if he’d stayed.

Mykolenko and Patterson aren’t crap. They’ve both played well for us already. Patterson has had bad luck with injuries and Mykolenko is being asked to play an attacking wingback role that isn’t his game. In a 4 he’s a solid left back.

Mykolenko and Patterson have both struggled whatever role they've been given this year. As has Coleman. We have big problems at full back this year, the quality isn't there.

Says who? The gutter press?
It was reported in various outlets. He has associations with Liverpool and was also put off by the turmoil at the club.

We can fling names around like Foo to all Manager, but there is also the reality of our situation. Everyone knows we’re getting relegated. We’re also a basket case now. A brew manager every twelve months, a hopeless board and fans who attack the players. Hardly a great recruitment advert.

Danjuma only wanted to come because of Frank. He's already been sacked and the deal could fall through for Danjuma. Bournemouth will take the loan deal instead.
we will see but a lot of rubbish i am guessing. Danjuma knew/knows the writing is on the wall for Lampard even before Saturday. Hope he is confirmed asap. At least one attacker done before we scramble for a second :)

Frank should have gone after Bournemouth, a new manager should have been given the Wolves, Southampton and West Ham games to target a bounce and make some progress in distancing from the bottom 3. Instead, we lost all 3, have the joint lowest points, and the manager is potentially getting sacked at the WORST time. Next 2 games are Arsenal and Liverpool and it’s almost certainly messing up incomings. ‘No second incoming?’ just refuse to believe it’s not because of the utter turmoil of who is going to be in charge
