Apart from Haaland, I've yet to see a football anywhere close to father's level. They're always hyped up in their teens due to the famous dad but pretty much always end up massive flops and go in the abyss. Jordi Cruff, Justin Kluivert, Alex Bruce are a few that spring to mind
Mainly because the lads get into the academy's off there dads name (Conor Coadys lad plays for our academy, Tim Cahill's son also)
And you see Romeo Beckham & Harvey Neville both played for Inter Miami's B team, how do you think they got in there.
They get a leg up and a route in via there dad's whereas on most occasions, the father had to work hard to get there chance, they came from further back if that makes sense, a lot more dad & lad examples are coming through these days and its pretty much down to the dad's using the club acadamys as child care while they are at training!
There are obviously exceptions Gio & Caludio Reyna, Thiago & Mazinho, Sergio Busquets dad played for Barca i think, Frank Lampard & his old man, Brennan & David Johnson but most of the times your point is spot on!
