Kyle Walker supposedly leaving Citeh in summer. No doubt will get interest but at 32 wouldn't cost massive money and could do a similiar job as Trippier has done at Newcastle.

In fairness buying aging players on huge contracts on their way out of champions league clubs has only ever previously paid massive dividends for us .

Our finances are ruined from it though, we need to be looking at players with a resale value on lower contracts, no player at this club should be on more than £100k imo. We need to get control of this once and for all and implement a proper recruitment plan.

Possibly not but unless you know the lotto numbers you cannot say for sure so worth an enquiry as he's still got quality and pace in abundance.

2 Years ago I would have said no chance Mike Ashley sells to the Saudi rulers and relegation battling Newcastle would be in the top 4 managed by Eddie kin Howe.

Not one person would have predicted Arsenal for the title this year and Leicester in the bottom 3 with less than 10 games to go - stranger tings have happened !

You need a mix tho - if you sign 3x Onana's in the summer for £80 millions we'll be back in the bottom 6 as young players are too up and down - Patterson another.

A lot of social media fans expecting the likes of Garner, Patterson, Branthwaite and a few 21 year old signings to be in the starting 11 are in for a shock as Dyche likes experience in the team which is why Doucoure gets in ahead of Garner.

Newcastle have that hipster DOF from Brighton yet they still signed 32 year old Trippier & 30 year old Dan Burn. Imagine us without Tarkowski this season as an example.

You need a mix of young and experience to be successful. Our problem over the years has been too many over the hill players but that doesnt mean every signing has to have sell on value otherwise clubs much better than us like Villa and Newcastle wouldn't sign players like Digne, Carlos, Trippier, Coutinho etc.

I just hope Walker wants to stay in the North West as him bombing down the flank is what we need - ship Coleman out and get Walker in with Patterson in reserve to develop.

we should ne buying players like we did in the 80's, well scouted, nicked from reserves etc.. it suits us better.. blowing loads of money on big established names doesn't work, nor suit us. we aren't set up for that... we are a small club, now.

there are plenty of clubs scouting players on the up and buying them , unsurprisingly those clubs are outperforming their expectations. It’s just obvious what we need to do
