No. It's just a fact unfortunately. (The selling early thing I mean. I was joking about the transfer team feeling happy but who knows what they were/are thinking?)

We sold him for a world record fee, we werent ever getting more than the 100m we got for him, he was unproven in the CL and on an International level, we got very good money which allowed us to invest in the squad.

Well we probably could have got more fairly easily by waiting. But the main issue is why did we sell to man u pre season without a replacement? Why not wait until last few days even with no replacement; would have been better in that he would have less time to get used to his new team. Given moshri cash I don't think we needed to sell to buy.

What does it matter when we sold him?

We sold him early and STILL couldnt replace him.
