Has there been any news about Gueyes new contract? His agent must know he will get a very high fee at chelsea arsenal etc right now. Given current state of the club and the diffuclt manager, Gana maybe tempted... Hope not.

...Spurs linked with Ademola Lookman this morning.

Strangely this deal would make a lot of sense (which is unfortunate). I sense Vlasic has rather jumped the cue on Lookman a little bit. You would imagine with prices going up and the fact he's enhanced his reputation that we would be looking for significantly more than the money we paid out for him. He'd also get to move back to London.

I think the powers that be will be quite ambivalent on such deals going forward. If we can move him on for 25 million it will be great profit on a deal and allow us to re invest in other areas. Given the numbers of young players we are singing I can see this approach being repeated.

I'm not completely sold on the lad, he's not quite quick enough for me. That being said I'd much prefer him to have a 6 month loan deal to either Huddersfield or Crystal Palace (Hodgson is worrying mind) and re-evaluate in the summer. The lad needs games but he's unlikely to get them as things stand here so we will see.

..I see Vlasic as a central midfielder and Lookman as a conventional winger. Like other wingers Lookman can be a bit inconsistent but he has real ability to go past defenders. I'd be giving him more game time.

In our current situation he should be getting more game time definitely.

I agree with all of that mate. I think Koeman us understandably concerned with putting too much youth in the side especially down the right hand side.

Bolasie will hopefully be back and firing in January. It might be a good opportunity to give Lookman some game time, and someone like Werner at Huddersfield would help him.

We hate losing young players. We may have to get more used to it though, I think the investment in younger players is at least partly motivated by strategic motives to raise additional funds.

Lukaku had already announced he knew who he was playing for before the window even opened. The deal was already done so no way were we going to wait until the prices went mad. We got the money as soon as we could as it was already being spent on the first few signings. We just had to wait for Lukaku to come back off from holiday and stop his Keenan and Kel impressions with Pogba.

Orange soda scuffs vs fantascruff

If Moshiri is reluctant to bin Koeman off due to his compensation package then he'd be out of his mind to allow Lookman to be sold. As an England youth international he looks class and Koeman refuses to give him a run of games yet plays Klaassen (as an example) who is not suited to the league.

This is an exciting young player who should be getting regular games...how can he not be played against a Cypriot team ffs

100% and theres only one way to become consistent

I just don't trust Walsh with another window. His recruitment policy so far has been worse than shambolic.

Walsh???????? I'm sure he signed Cuco, Klaassen, Williams, Bolasie and Stekelenburg lol

If we sell Lookman, even for a profit, I'm done. Would just show how bloody short term we've become.

I'd rather koeman was sacked than sell any of the England u21s
