Id say the exact opposite to be honest, Shearer was far more atlehtic and his build up play was significantly better.

Opinions are mad arent they.

God i feel old, i still think Shearer is a modern era striker.

Perhaps when he was at Southampton and early in his Blackburn time, but after his major injuries with Blackburn he lost most of his athleticism and spent the rest of his career as a deadly finisher. Although I don't think he was ever as good as Kane with build-up personally, but he was a better finisher.

A seasoned, rangy, experienced striker with a cracking goal scoring record who can hold the ball up and run a few channels.

Wouldn't mind an old fashioned battering ram CF too if I'm being greedy.

Also a CB, RB, and a midfield Enforcer...

Anyone mentioned that we've apparently been offered Frank Ribery now he's a free agent? At 36. I'm not sure it's even worth considering...

Think if we can get Bolasie and Mirrallas out and Ribery in, this would be good business, probably the same wages and even if he was 46, Ribery would be worth more to our squad than these 2 put together :p :hayee:

Palace failed with a 20 million something bid for that Chalov lad on deadline day didn't they? Brands would offer 7m and have it done with the Kremlin thrown in too

Yeh, nay chance I’m letting something with those delicate skills line up for bloody Crystal Palace. I’ll get on the phone to Marcel.
