James Rodriguez

He had a thigh injury if I remember rightly, which was being managed.
This is true. Though I seem to remember he went on his jollies to Miami whilst we were trying to qualify for European football so not exactly being in and around the club showing support to his teammates. Didn't he also come off early in a match because he 'felt' something but no injury was found? Admittedly this might of been another player as my memory is hazy nowadays 😂

will always remember his assist for the richarlison goal in the covid derby win

and I wish we still had a player like him

not the fastest player but like Neo in the matrix its as if he could slow down or bend time
and he could see the game ahead of the opposition
Just failed to see Van Dyke about to smack him. Talented but fragile for our league and I fail to understand why people think he was the second coming. Had the skill in abundance but not the mentality or grit for the league. File under coulda shoulda.

Maybe he's telling the truth, maybe he's just saying what he thinks our fan's want to hear, what I remember was towards the end of Carlo's reign he wasn't exactly chomping at the bit to get on the pitch for us
Being in constant pain from his frequent injuries could of dashed his enthusiasm to get on the pitch , exceptional on the pitch but he was a luxury player who was only going to be fit 15 games a season. It was also evident rafael despised James and was factor in his departure

I agree that James wasn't strong enough for the PL but he was never the same after VVD clattered him . However,St.Virgil got his just desserts a little later from Pickford. Both tackles could easily have been red cards :red:

Jordans was totally fair and probably deserving of a global honour. Lurch got what was coming.

It's honestly one of the larger travesties in football that we got a player like James fn Rodriguez and he never played a single game in front of a full crowd. I said it at the time, if COVID didn't happen I could easily have seen him saying he wished he went to Everton way earlier in his career. Absolute baller of a player and, straight up, the only football kit I have with a name on it is his.

Honestly, [Poor language removed] Moshiri for bringing in the FSW for this alone but about 150 other reasons too.

Hope this isn't true. We have quite high-end season seats (it's all relative in the MLS) at the LA Galaxy and they were due to play Minnesota United at home this past weekend. Was gutted when they announced he wasn't playing as wanted him to sign an Everton jersey for me. The official story was that it was severe dehydration though the comment about "slightly over-doing it" (and not on the training pitch was mentioned). Was talking to one of the Minnesota lads afterwards (Nectarios Triantis....yeah I know you've all never heard of him and probably never will), so I asked if they'd ever seen James Rodriguez. To be fair the lad responded, "yeah, he came to training once".....
I’ve heard of him he’s an Aussie!
