That i think will be our 1st choice 3.

Davies / McCarthy / Barry / Besic

Those 4 will stagnate Walsh coming through imo. I like McCarthy and Besic but both are injured alot + barry is finished.

I would have moved all 3 on, given walsh a chance + signed one more youngster to push for a place.

None of those 3 would oust and of the first choice players over a few games but perhaps a Davies/ Walsh/ANother would do as they improve?

Again, i do like mccarthy though.

Good job you're not Everton manager then.

Besic always injured but a great player...you cant keep perrenial injured players.

Barry is done....hes not got the legs we need.

McCarthy is great but if you compare to Davies or another we could have signee of similar ilk then id prefer the latter.

Also would like to see a pathway for walsh

Can't just get rid of 3 midfielders at once because Walsh might be half decent in the future, I appreciate your point because I wouldn't be gutted about seeing any of them shipped out but not now. Not all in one window with no real replacements.

Well besic wouldnt be missed (has he played this season?) and Barry shouldnt be in the side imo.

For me it would be a case of Walsh + another young star signed to replace him.

Either way happy to keep him!

Zat, if they are injured and finished how will they stagnate Walsh coming through, surely his chances of playing would increase

The very best club sides have 2 teams worth of high quality.
Injuries and fatigue play a huge role in derailing clubs.
Leicester got very, very fortunate last season, though they made 0 attempt at any other competition other than the prem.
This year they have focused on the CL and their league status is precarious now.

McCarthy will be sold in the summer, assuming Davies continues in form until the end of the season. Barry will see his game time lessen more and more and next season will '
be more around the squad for his experience and hopefully to provide cover during congestion if we are in Europe, Besic no way the manager would sell a player just returning from a major injury, he will get this season and next pre season minimum to convince the manager if he should be kept. Similarly Walsh has that period of time himself to show he's worth giving a chance too etc, needs to stay fit thought first and foremost.

So Besic gets more time to prove if he's good enough because he's been injured, but McCarthy who's already shown Koeman he is good enough get sold because he gets injured?

No mate, because one of them is worth 20m and the other probably about 4-5m we aren't gonna be keeping a player worth that amount around as 4th choice for an indefinite amount of time, especially when he wants to start and was willing to leave this January to do so.

He'll likely be sold in the summer. He signed a new deal before last season, so I believe the entire transfer amount will count as revenue.

Yeah, this isn't all that complicated.
