It may well have been a fake bid, but it was reported that Newcastle bid 16 million.

I have yet to see any official comment, so hopefully it's just the usual internet speculation, as was the phantom £16m bid from the barcodes.

Until i see / hear proof to the contrary, I'm choosing to believe that this story about James isn't accurate and is perhaps an exaggeration / misunderstanding of a true story i.e. he was taken off early to prevent a reoccurrence of his hamstring injury, rather than he actually felt a tweak in his hammy.

I certainly hope that's the case anyway...

If he is injured again then I see no way back for him. Think we will defo get shot in the summer. Its a shame as he looked like he was starting to resemble a little of his form of the first season but we cannot have injury prone players anymore. He is too fragile.
