Playing very well so far.
Lukaku and Duelefu are great to watch so I shall enjoy them whilst I can.
After all it will be Kone and Mcgeady next year :)

HOLLA!
The only positive I can take from this deal is that he's better than Leon Osman and improves the squad for that reason.

The problem is that we could have paid £13m on hundreds of other players who would have replaced Leon Osman and improved the squad more IMO.

He's a decent player and I'll get behind him, but he has to stop producing the non-stop 6/10 performances he did at Wigan when I saw him and step up to the big leagues.

He put in a stereotypical passenger performance for Ireland the other day, but the tactics were grim so it'd be unfair to judge him overall.

The problem is that I've seen him put in similar anonymous performances for Wigan too. The hope is that he'll be more consistent and step up in a higher calibre team, but there's a definite real danger that we've just spunked away £13m on the new Mark Pembridge.

I didn't say I knew him inside out. I'm making the point that he's hardly been invisible to any football fan who follows the Premier League has he? I've certainly seen enough to "justify a proper opinion on him", let's put it that way.

I have an opinion on Chris Brunt, James McClean and hundreds of other footballers too. If you don't watch football and take an interest in other players other than those who wear the blue of Everton, that's your business, but you shouldn't be writing off legit opinions on a player on this forum based on your own limited knowledge of football.

My actual view is he's a decent, 6/10, consistent player for what it's worth.

To be honest, the fact that some of them rate McCarthy over Fellaini just makes me realise that a good portion of Manc fans are pretty special in the head.

There was a moment where he collected the ball in space, had Osman and Barkley near him, had the opportunity to take the ball, drive with it and take the game by the scruff of the neck...

But instead he crabbed a one yard pass to Osman.

Another moment when a poor Chelsea ball gave him the chance to take the ball down on the chest and drive them back towards goal...

But instead he tried an implausible stooped header towards Barkley that didn't have a prayer of coming off.

Very unimpressed.
