the price of the lad is all relative.Eriksen, Capoue both cost around 10 mill, McCarthy is not worth more than that. I'm not against MArtinez going back to his old club but I am annoyed that he hasn't seemed to go further afield to europe as Moyes did with the Fellainis and Mirallas' of the team...

Moyes didn't have a club to go back to tho'.
Now he has he's back in for his old players.
It's a safe bet to go for the players that you know and trust, especially when you are trying to adapt to a new system.

hahahahahah

What??

Fellaini leaves, therefore McCarthy MUST be purchased.... and for more than 12m.

Because we have bad directors.

Keep up the good popcorning.

No, I'm saying clearly: if the board dont sell Fellaini then no deal gets done. McCarthy nor anyone else would be coming in for Fellaini...which is what the poster I responded to wanted.

We have a winner

If this lad was Spainish and had a greasy pony tail instead of ginger hair that smells of fox piss and twiglets the lids on here would be wanking off hourly

Bad example.

Fellaini was one of the most sought after players in Europe. Massive difference to McCarthy.

Why they can't? Fellaini is under contact till summer 2016 and he hasn't handed in a transfer request.

Exactly. So if Fellaini stays - as is their right to insist - your nightmare signing is taken away from Martinez. It's the board's fault then isn't it, ultimately.

And, er, was actually very good.

How did McCarthy get on last season? Relegated? Less effective statistically than Osman?

Kone has got an exotic name. You keep comparing McCarthy to (hilariously) Roy Keane. Here's a more apt comparison - Kone to Brett Angell.

16m for two Wigan players. Compensation payments for the man who got them relegated.

He's saying nobody knew Felli was any good when we bought him, Lads on here wrote him off very early into his career

McCarthy being relegated means what? Can one player save a team?

Fellaini going & our manger spunking the proceeds on the ginger Joe Allen are 2 totally separate issues
