Are we doing the usual sour grapes thing we do whenever we lose a player?

Fair enough, let me be a part of that.

Nah, that fellaini, total crap. Wouldn't get into crawleys team.

Fellaini is a good player mate but do you think he's world class as some on here suggest?

His form is so patchy its hard to gauge the fella sometimes, One week he's this monster who single handly rips teams apart, the next he's a player who seems like he can't be bothered and has a stinker

HENDERSON WENT FOR 20M LADS DIS IS A JOKE IN IT

Here's his stats compared to the player who he'll be replacing in the starting eleven, though I'm not sure if you can say they're fair given Fellainiplayed most of his games as an attacking midfielder last season.

Fellaini:

Games Played - 31
Assists - 5
Key Passes - 40
Pass Accuracy - 79.3
Dispossed - 73 Times
Turned - 76 Times
Tackles Won - 82
Interceptions - 37
Fouls Conceded - 80
Clearences - 65
Dribbled By Opposition - 13 Times
Blocked Shots - 4

McCarthy:

Games played - 38
Assists - 2
Key Passes - 36
Pass Accuracy - 87.3
Dispossessed - 26 Times
Turned - 31 Times
Tackles won - 99
Interceptions - 76
Fouls conceded - 48
Clearences - 61
Dribbled By Opposition - 42 times
Blocked Shots - 19

Nowhere near world class.

But world class players don't play at clubs that aren't in europe as a rule so that's hardly an issue.

He's better than any of his replacements will be (as of now, anyway).

Yes but so what

That does not mean McCarthy won't be a good signing

Might as well not sign anyone then because know one will be good enough to replace him

The only mess in here mate is you

Bringing goal ratio's into it ffs

hahahahah

Yep, because we should measure their contributions to the team by the amount of goals they score, or the variety of positions they can play in.

You've got yourself all wound up and wrong. Never mind.

No I think McCarthy is a good signing.

As long as we also bring in Barry and have enough money left over to buy one other and that's a good deal.

I just think people are going over top in the fellaini's ****, we won'y miss him at all stuff.
